FireWire supports up to 63 devices on the chain, so adding and removing hardware is as easy as plugging a cable into your system. The RocketFire PCI FireWire Card has two external ports to add greater flexibility and manageability for your devices. Your DV equipment can be installed on one port, while the daisy chain of peripherals can be on the second port. With the RocketFire Card, every 1394a device is truly "plug-and-play". No need to mess with jumpers, ID settings, or complicated software drivers. And with cable power support, devices can be powered directly from the cable (I-link devices do not support cable power).
